Abstract

Abstract: This paper reported a newly recorded genus of Lamiaceae in Guangdong, namely Ombrocharis Hand.-Mazz., a monotypic genus containing only the type species, O. dulcis Hand.-Mazz. This species was previously recognized as a rare species endemic to Hunan, but has since been reported successively in Guangxi, Fujian and Guizhou. Recently, a population of this species was found growing along a stream under evergreen broadleaf forest in Guangdong Nanling National Nature Reserve, representing its southernmost population. This new finding is of great significant value for the future study on the geographical distribution, origin and the dispersal of O. dulcis. The voucher specimens are deposited in the herbarium of South China Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IBSC).

摘要： 本文报道了广东唇形科一新记录属——喜雨草属Ombrocharis Hand.-Mazz.。该属为单种属，模式种为喜雨草O. dulcis Hand.-Mazz.。该种之前被认为是湖南特有的珍稀植物，后来被陆续报道也分布于广西、福建、贵州。最近该种的一个居群在广东南岭国家级自然保护区被发现，生长于常绿阔叶林沟边，且是这个种分布最南的一个居群。该发现对未来研究喜雨草的地理分布和种群的起源与扩散具有重要的意义。凭证标本保存在中国科学院华南植物园标本馆（IBSC）。
