A Preliminary Study on the Damage Characteristics of Liothrips sp. in Landscape Plants and Its Control Measure

Abstract

This article reported a new pest, which resulted in the death of the branches, frizz of the twigs, and lots of galls on the leaves of ornamental plants called Fagraea ceilanica in Xiamen and its surrounding area. It was identified as Liothrips sp. In addition, the damage characteristics, morphological identification and relationship with environment of Liothrips sp. were described in detail, and the control strategies and other relevant issues were also discussed.
