Two new recorded plants, S. nepalensis Wall. and P. bulbocodioides (Franch.) Rolfe, respectively belonging to Sarcopyramis of Melastomatceae and Pleione of Orchidaceae, were reported in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. The voucher specimens were deposited in the Herbarium of Forestry College, South China Agricultural University (CANT). The two species were found at high 260~300 m altitude in Conghua, which was the southernmost and the lowest altitude records for them so far. The new records would provide important references for the effects of diffusion mechanism, vertical distribution, climate change on species migration, and some other theoretical problems.
