Twelve sample plots from Guangzhou Baiyun mountain, Zhaoqin Dinghu mountain, Shenzhen Wutong mountain, Huizhou Nankun Mountain, Dongguan Yinping mountain and Shuilianshan were setting up, comprehensive assessment of native ground cover plants in sample plots were surveyed by linearity weighted integrative method of mathematical model. According to live form, habitat and height of plant, 70 species of native wild groundcover plants were selected for application to landscape, 8 species native groundcover plants with shade and drought tolerance were especially introduced, such as Ardisia japonica, Ardisia squamulosa, Strobilanthes cusia. In application practice, they grew very well in Dongguan Botanical Garden.
