The phylogenetic relationship of Thymelaeaceae was reconstructed based on rbpL gene, whose sequences data was downloaded from NCBI. The phylogenetic of Thymelaeaceae was used to found the potential original plants of agarwood. This result showed that the genera of Octolepis, Lethedon, Arnhemia, Daphnopsis, Solmsia and Deltaria might produce agarwood according to the genetic relationship.
