Abstract

Based on field survey, the plant diversity and vegetation of Nansha District, Guangzhou City was studied. There are a total of 603 native vascular plant species belonging to 388 genera, 128 families in Nansha district, and the dominating vegetation are wetland vegetation, aquatic vegetation, beach vegetation and hilly vegetation. The diversity and geographical area of the wild plant in Nansha district were analyzed, and the results indicated that few families are the dominant components of flora, and tropical elements predominate in the flora but there is a degree influence of temperate elements. Finally, suggestions for the protection of plant diversity were proposed.
