Abstract: The growing points of the buds of mume (Prunus mume) varieties of various maturity times were observed under a scanning electron microscope to study the differentiation periods of their flower buds. The clear and intact pictures show that the flower buds of mume growing in Liannan county,Guangdong province begin to differentiate in the second and last ten days of July. Among them the mature period of the early variety (white powder mume) is comparatively short.It takes 3 months for flower buds to differentiate. The differentiation completes in the second and last ten days of October.,The mature periods of the medium and late varieties such as the large mume with tender twigs and May mume are longer.The differentiation continues until the second and last ten days of Deceniber,lasting 5 months.

摘要： 用扫描电镜观察不同成熟期品种果梅芽生长点,能获得清晰、完整的形态分化图象。广东连南县果梅在7月中下旬开始花芽分化,其中早熟品种(白粉梅)分化期较短,至10月中下旬结束,约三个月;中、迟熟品种(软枝大粒梅和五月梅)分化期较长,至12月中下旬,历时五个月。
