Abstract: Strelitzia reginae was introduced and cultivated in Xiamen and its flowering and fruiting characteristics were studied. The results showed that the initial flowering season of Strelitzia reginae seedling was at the forth year after planting and the full-bloom stage was in summer and autumn; each inflorescence could produce 4-6 fruits and the mature period of fruit was 80-140d. The growth rhythm of plant height and characteristics of seed germination were also observed.

摘要： 鹤望兰在亚热带厦门地区引种露地栽培,观察结果表明,实生苗始花期为4年生,全年开花,夏、秋季为盛花期,冬季产花量少。每枝花序均可产生多个果实,每个果实有种子10粒以上,果实成熟期80~140d。并观测了株高生长与种子发芽特性
