Abstract: In order to study the effect of herbicide Metolach in tobacco fields, the experiments of different periods and different concentration of application were studied in 2006. Compared with TA (Treatment A:applying Metolach 7 days before transplanting tobacco seedling, film mulching), the weed control effect of TB (Treatment B:applying Metolach 25 days after transplanting tobacco seedling, uncovering film and hilling up) was more significant. Among the different concentration,Ta (Treatment a:spraying at a dilution of 400+)and Tb (Treatment b:spraying at a dilution of 550+) gave better results than Tc (Treatment c:spraying at a dilution of 800+). So it's recommended to apply herbicide Metolach at a dilution of 550+ when uncovering film and hilling up (25 days after transplanting) for weed control of tobacco fields.
