Abstract: Salak is one of the tropical commercial plants of palmae, the fruit is edible when fresh, it is widely grown in some southeast Asia countries. It has been introduced and cultivated in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanic Garden. The growth, florescence, fruit bearing and propagation of Salak were studied and is also discussed in this paper.
