Abstract: Rhynchophorus ferrugineus is one of exotic insect pests of Palmae plants.It mainly distributes in Hainan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Taiwan, Fujian, Yunnan, Tibet (Motou) in China.The symptom of infection, morphological characters and living habits of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus were described.Based on the investigation of the damage of Rhynchophorus ferrugineus in Phoenix canariensis in Xiamen, some suggestions for control were proposed.

摘要： 红棕象甲(Rhynchophorus ferrugineus)是对棕榈科植物危害较大的外来入侵害虫,文章介绍该虫的为害症状、形态特征、生活习性以及厦门地区加拿利海枣的受害情况,并提出防治措施。
