Abstract: The sod cultural practices and patterns in fruit orchard are described in this paper. The effects of sod cultivation on the soil and water conservation, the improvement of orchard environment, the physico-chemical and microbiological characters of soils are discussed. And the effects of sod cultivation on the development and growth of fruit trees, the quality and yield of fruits are evaluated.
