    Abstract ( )   PDF (349KB) ( )
The optimum range of macro-and micro-element contents in the leaves of Parent Navel Orange in south Fujian were studied in 1994~1995. The amount of elements in the leaves within the same cultivar was definitely affected by different localities and years for sampling. The variation coefficients of micro-element contents in the leaves were higher than those of macro-element contents. The present study recommends that the values of the optimum ranges of the mineral elements in the leaves of spring shoots of Parent Navel Orange are:N 2.8×10-2~3.3×10-2, P 0.14×10-2~0.18×10-2, K 1.4×10-2~2.1×10-2, Ca 2.0×10-2~4.0×10-2, Mg 0.25×10-2~0.45×10-2, Cu 5×10-6~18×10-6, Zn 20×10-6~50×10-6, Mn 20×10-6~100×10-6, Fe 50×10-6~160×10-6, B 25×10-6~100×10-6. These diagnostic criteria may provide the parameters of fertilizer guide.

Studies on Chemical Regulation Technique for Longan
Su Minghua, Liu Zhicheng, Zhuang Yimei
    1997, 26(02): 7-11.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (355KB) ( )
The correlation between the bearing basal branch and yield of longan, the relationship between floral bud differentiation, fruit-drop and endogenous iPAs, GAs,ABA and IAA, and the result of exogenous hormones regulation on the floral bud differentiation and physiological fruit-drop during 1986~1996 are summarized. The results of chemical regulation for longan to commercial experiments, demonstration, application and extention are also reported.

Isolation and Characterization of Rhizobium from Leucaena diversdelia
Huang Weinan, Lan Gu, Huang Shengquan, Zou Xiaolu, Cai Longxiang, Cai Keqiang
    1997, 26(02): 12-17.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (365KB) ( )
One fast-growing Rhizobium strain K164n was isolated from root nodules of Leucaena diversifolia. It was Gran-negative rod (2.2×0.89 μm) with subpolar flagella. Long doubling time (1.69 hr) in YM liquid medium was observed. It grew well at 30℃ and did not grow both at 39℃ and in 0.5% NaCl. The growth had a pH ranging from 4.5 to 6.6. Physiological and biochemical characteristics of strain K164m were systematically studied. When inoculated, nodules was formed on the host plants. The nitrogenase activity was determined. Expression of H2 uptake activity of strain K164n in free-living was investigated.

Effects of Calcium Treatments on Postharvest Ripening of Actinidia chinensis Fruits
You Ruichen, Liu Hongzhou, Lai Menghong, Huang Weinan
    1997, 26(02): 18-22.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (295KB) ( )
Actinidia chinensis fruits were treated with calcium at postharvest peri-od. Various concentrations of calcium treatments preserved a high content of reductive vitamin C and reducing sugar, and reduced the polygalacturonase activity, and thus de-layed the decayed fruits and retained their good quality.

Study on Storage of Flammulina velutipes
Cai Longxiang, Zhuang Rongfu, Wu Jinzhu, Hu Wei ji, Huang Weinan, Li Jinyu, Chen Rongzhen, Chen Shijie
    1997, 26(02): 23-28.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (336KB) ( )
Storage of Flammulina velutipes with PE packaging, pressure-reduced,gas-filled and low temperature treatments were investigated. And physiological and biochemical determination were carried out. The determination results showed that loss of moisture and dry matter, respiratory intensity and crude fibre were lower than those of controls, and soluble solids, soluble sugar, proteins and vitamin C were higher than those of controls but lower than those of pre-storage. All these treatments had preservative ef-fects in appearance and prolonged preservative duration for a long time.

Induction of Mutations of Acacia cunninghamia by 60Co-r Irradiation
    Huang Shengquan, Huang Weinan
    1997, 26(02): 29-34.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (351KB) ( )
M1 mutant was selected from the seeds of Acacia cunninghamia by 60Co-r irradiation. The results of afforested experiment by using M2 mutant showed that the growth and biomass of 3-year stands increased by 21.64% and 73.98%, respectively as compared with controls, and the stands had straight stems and earlier flower phase and fruit maturity period for 7~15 days.

    Ultrastructure of Acacia cunninghamia Nodules
Zhang Ning, Huang Weinan, Huang Zhihong, Huang Shengquan
    1997, 26(02): 35-40.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (493KB) ( )
The observation on ultrastructure of Acacia cunninghamia nodules showed that nucleus and plastids expanded, the crista of mitochondria disappeared and changed into transparent sphere, and ER membrane loose in the infected host cells. The young bacteroid was small, round or elliptic, and its cytoplasm was dense, deep-dyed and well distributed; the mature bacteroid was large, its morphotypes were diversity, and the accumulated PHB increased in the bacteroids. One or more bacteroids were found in each peribacteroids membrane with the gradually maturing of nodule cells. It was observed that bacteroid was broken and it effused electron-transparent substance (PHB) in old nodule cell. The source of peribacteroids membrane is also discussed.

Control Effect “Nongfu” Ⅱ to Tea Pink Mites
Song Zhiyu, Shen Ruichi, Lin Jianzhong, Shen Qingyu, Shi Jianyu
    1997, 26(02): 45-48.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (226KB) ( )
Foliage spray of 500 times dilution of bio-organic fertilizer "Nongfu" Ⅱ to tea trees gave the best result in controlling pink mites (Eriophyes theae Watt). Its control effect was similar to that of 800 times dilution of 40% Nissol emulsion. It can substitute for Nissol for controlling pink mites and made significant ecological effect to produce ex-cellent quality of tea in accord with the International Hygiene Standard.
