): 1-4.
Abstract

)
The purity in F1-hybrid cauliflower (
Brassica oleracea
var.
Botrytis
) cultivar was analyzed using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD). A total of 124 DNA fragments ranging from 0.3kb to 3kb were amplified with twenty 10bp arbitrary primers, in which two primers S120 and S174 could be used for purity identification of the F1-hybrid. The results obtained by RADP analysis were comparable to those by field test.

Comparative experiment on grafting methods of kiwifruit in different seasons
YANG Qing-ping, AI Xiu-lan

Abstract
(

PDF
(157KB) (

A comparative experiment on grafting methods of kiwifruit in different seasons was conducted in Hubei Province. The results showed that cut grafting was the best method in spring and side grafting with single bud stick gave the best results in summer and autumn. Shade obviously increased the survival percent of grafted seedlings, but no trend was apparent for the good transplant nursery.

Abstract

Hylocereus undatus
was introduced from Taiwan in 1999 and its cultural practice was studied in Xiamen. The results showed that the stem (length 15-20cm, width 4-5cm) rooted after 17-20d of cuttage, the rooting percentage was up to 100% and one year later the length and width reached 213cm and 7-8cm, respectively; the survival ratio of grafted seedling was 70%-90% and sprout grafting had a higher survival ratio; bud bursted after 4d of seed sowing, the germination percentage was 50.9% and one year later the length and width reached 25cm and 3cm, respectively; grafted seedling and cut seedling flowered in the next year and the cut seedling had self fertility. The individual weight of fruit was 673g and the fruit tasted fine.

Tissue culture and regeneration of

Abstract

(15527KB) (

Illumination could promote the germination of
Torenia fournieri
seeds. Adventitious buds were produced from epicotyl on MS medium containing 4PU at 0.1mg/L, NAA at 2mg/L with a 16h photoperiod for 18 days at 25℃. 7~8 adventitious buds were obtained after 25 days of culture. A combination of MS added with 2,4-D at 0.05mg/L and NAA at 0.2mg/L gave the best result for leaf and stem to induce calli, but the callus differentiation to buds was difficult. The tube plantlet cultured on 1/2 MS medium could produce roots and NAA was optimum for root number.

The forest culture of 1-year plantation of
Taxus chinensis
var.
mairei
in different grades with different treatments was studied. The results showed that the tree height and diameter reached their growth peaks and the first height growing-peak was higher than the second while the first diameter growing-peak was lower than the second; classⅠseedlings had a better result than class Ⅱ; the survival rate and growth of seedlings treated with basal dressing were higher than those of seedlings without basal dressing; the optimum growth temperature of seedling was 23~30℃. Based on the analysis of variance, the regressive equations between the height and diameter, branch number were also built.
