    CAI Xiao-dong,LIN Guang-rong,XU Wen-bao,CHEN Li-xuan
    2011, 40(02): 4-6.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-7791.2011.02.002
    Abstract ( )   PDF (192KB) ( )
With three ornamental plants (Alocasia macrorrhiza, Nephrolepis cordifolia and Wedelia chinensis) as materials in pot-cultured experiment, their accumulation characteristics on Cadmium(Cd) in soil were studied. The results showed that three plants have different accumulation ability to Cd. The concentration of Cd in aboveground part and underground part had significant positive correlation with the content of Cd in soil (r>0.9). The aboveground part of Wedelia chinensis had the strongest capability of accumulating Cd, with Alocasia macrorrhiza was secondly and Nephrolepis cordifolia was the weakest. Relatively, for their underground part, Alocasia macrorrhiza had the biggest content of Cd, Nephrolepis cordifolia secondly and Wedelia chinensis the lowest. When the content of Cd in soil came within 0~120 mg/kg, the roots accumulation coefficients of three plants were all greater than 1, which explained that their roots had the accumulation ability to Cd. Only Wedelia chinensis, whose accumulation coefficients of aboveground part and underground part were both above and beyond than 1, had the accumulation coefficient characteristics of over-accumulated plant. Therefore, Wedelia chinensis had some applied potential to soil restoration polluted by heavy metals Cd.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (304KB) ( )
Conyza sumatrensis is an exotic species in China, and it has affected the biodiversity, composition, structure and stability of native communities. The interspecific association of 12 primary species in native community invaded by C. sumatrensis and its’ stability were analyzed by Variance ratio, χ2 test and Jaccard index based on 2×2 contingency table and improved Godron M.’s measure, in the area of Shangrao City. The results showed that: (1) The whole native community not invaded by C. sumatrensis appears positive association. There are lots of positive association species-pairs, and also exist highly significant positive association species-pairs in the community. (2) The whole native community invaded by C. sumatrensis appears negative association, and significant negative association species-pairs appear in the community. The number of positive association species-pairs reduces sharply compared with before this, and lots of significant positive association species-pairs disappear. The competition of species increases in the invaded native community, and some species can not exist stably in disadvantage niche because of their weak competition. (3) Some species with close relation in local community are divided into two different ecological groups after C. sumatrensis invaded. (4) The stability of the native community reduces because of C. sumatrensis’s attack, 16 species in native community disappear gradually and 4 new species appear.

A Review of Ethylene Signal Transduction Pathway in Rice
    WANG Jia,FANG Jun,YI Wen-kai,TIAN Yun,LU Xiang-yang,
    2011, 40(02): 72-78.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-7791.2011.02.022
    Abstract ( )   PDF (358KB) ( )
The ethylene signal components identi?ed so far in rice include receptors, EIN2 and EIN3 homologues, and CTR1, RTE1, EBF1/2 and EIN5 homologues that are reversely conservative in dicotyledon Arabidopsis and monocotledon rice. But based on the observation of ein2 and eil1 mutants of rice that there is not strong phenotypic difference between the two mutants and wild type, we conclude that ethylene signal in rice might be more intricate than in Arabidopsis. Given that rice uses ethylene to control many processes that do not exist in Arabidopsis, it seems that new mechanisms may exist in rice ethylene signal pathway. This article reviewed ethylene signal pathways, regulation of ethylene signal, and ethylene responses in rice plants.
