    2010, 39(01): 1-4.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-7791.2010.01.001
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1425KB) ( )
Bougainvilleas are ornamental,as well as health-friendly.To explore the mechanisms of secondary-metabolism in Bougainvillea, the volatile components of four species of Bougainvillea (Bougainvillea glabra ‘Magnifica’,Bougainvillea ‘Pink Pixie’,Bougainvillea glabra ‘Formosa’ and Bougainvillea×buttiana ‘Mahara’) extracted by distillation were analyzed by GC-MS.Through quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis,85 chemicals were separated. And after searching NIST database,72 chemicals were identified which account for 90% of total.Of them, there are more than one health-friendly chemicals including Phytol,Vitamin E,9,12-Octadecadienoic acid (Z,Z),Eugenol and 9,12,15-Octadecatrienoic acid(Z,Z,Z) in the flowers of Bougainvilleas.

Effects of Applied Boron on Boron Forms and Leaf Photosynthesis of Papaya
    XIE Zhi-nan, LAI Rui-yun, ZHONG Zan-hua, SU Ming-hua
    2010, 39(01): 5-8.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-7791.2010.01.002
    Abstract ( )   PDF (866KB) ( )
Effects of applied boron (soil application of boron, spraying boron on the plant) on the boron forms and leaf photosynthesis of papaya plants were investigated. The results showed that the two methods of boron application both increased the contents of boron forms and the total content of boron in plant leaves, petiole and root,in which the water soluble boron,semi-bound boron and total content of boron in leaves increased significantly. The increase of boron content of plants increased photosynthetic rate in leaves, but excessively high level of boron could inhibit the photosynthetic capacity, and even lead to a significant drop of photosynthesis.

    2010, 39(01): 9-13.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-7791.2010.01.003
    Abstract ( )   PDF (924KB) ( )
The effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (Glomus mosseae and G.versiforme) on the dry weight and absorbing phosphorus of Poncirus trifoliata seedlings and its root excreting organic acids under low-phosphorus stress with the Al-P as phosphorus source and poncirus trifoliata seedlings as experimental material were studied in sand culture and sterilization greenhouse. The results showed that the inoculation of AM not only markedly increased the dry weight of overground part and underground part of Poncirus trifoliata, which raised by 16.79%~135.25%,but also remarkably increased phosphorus uptake with the contribution rate up to 17.04%~71.95% (G.m>G.v).Fertilizing Al-p could observably raise the contribution rate. The kinds of organic acid which were secreted by the root systems of AM fungi inoculation were different from the control. We only detected six acids (oxalic acid, malic acid, lactic acid, acetic acid, maleic acid and citric acid) in non-inoculated treatment materials, while 7 acids (oxalic acid, tartaric acid, malic acid, lactic acid, acetic acid, citric acid, succinic acid) in G.m treatment materials, and also tartaric acid and no maleic acid detected in G.v treatment materials.Inoculation also increased the content of organic acid secretion (increased by 19.80~56.87 mg/kg) of trifoliate root, and the application of AlPO4 greatly increased organic acid content (increased by 20.06~21.84 mg/kg);uninoculated plant root secreted a bit of organic acid;Mycorrhizal poncirus trifoliata seedlings excreted malic acid (42.87%),citric acid (39.22%) and oxalic acid (12.06%).

    2010, 39(01): 14-16.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-7791.2010.01.004
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1326KB) ( )
3 cultivars of C. hybridium and 1 cultivar of C. sinense were chosen to self-bred and cross-bred.21 fruits of 4 cross-combinations were attained successfully from 257 pollinated flowers of 10 combinations. The average fruit set was 8.1%.The mean fruit set of reciprocal cross between C. hybridium and C. sinense has little difference. The trends of fruit growth curve of each combinations were in essence the same. The ovaries inflated after pollination 10~12 days and the size of capsule tended to stable between 60 and 80 days. Most of fallen fruits dropped within 30 days after pollination, but some fallen fruits yellowed and dropped in mid-later growing period. The incoordination of parents' genetic material and the cultivation management were important factors to the fruit set.

    2010, 39(01): 29-33,44.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-7791.2010.01.008
    Abstract ( )   PDF (1253KB) ( )
Seedlings of three varieties (GT1,RRIM600,PR107) of Hevea brasiliensis were treated with low N (0%N,50%N,100%N) stress and the changes and their relationship of the leaf SPAD values,N nutrition and agronomic traits were studied. The results showed that:(1) low N stress significantly decreased the leaf SPAD value, leaf nitrogen content (LNC),nitrate reductase activity (NRA) and reduced distance between leaf-umbrella (DBL),leaf area (LA).And these impact aggrandized as the stress intensity increased.(2) Responses to low-N stress were in different degrees between different varieties of rubber tree seedlings. On the whole,GT1 was most sensitive to stress,PR107 next, and RRIM600 was the least sensitive.(3) The SPAD value,DBL,LA were significantly positive correlated with LNC,NRA in Hevea brasiliensis seedling leaves. Therefore, leaf SPAD value,DBL and LA would be shortcut measures to evaluate the nitrogen nutrient condition of rubber plant.

    2010, 39(01): 49-52.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-7791.2010.01.012
    Abstract ( )   PDF (875KB) ( )
In this paper,15 kinds of green leaves were treated with 0%,1.02%,5.85%,10.22%,14.21% and 17.15% copper sulfate solution at 90℃,and leaves which were uneasy to be kept in color were injured to study the effects of copper sulfate concentration and injury on leaves' color keeping. The results showed that different kinds of leaves responded differently to copper sulfate solution.Heat copper sulfate solution deformed paper leaves (e.g.Oxalis corymbosa) easily and had no effect on some kinds of leathery leaves (e.g.Yucca elephantipes and Cycas revoluta).Young leaves' color was much easier to be kept than that of matured leaves.Copper sulfate concentration had no effect on color, but had effect on the time of color keeping. The higher the copper sulfate concentration, the shorter the time of returning green. The time of returning green was the same in 14.21% and 17.15% copper sulfate concentration.Leaves' color being treated by copper sulfate changed between light and dark before and after dried.A few leaves, such as Chaenomeles speciosa, could keep original color after dried naturally without being treated by copper sulfate. And injury was favor to color keeping of some kinds of leathery leaves.
