Absorption and Accumulation of Cadmium and Lead in Passionfruit
    XU Wen-bao, ZENG Xin-ping, CAI Xiao-dong, Lin Fu-cong
    2010, 39(03): 1-3.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-7791.2010.03.001
    Abstract ( )   PDF (749KB) ( )
The variation of cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb) contents on the basis of Cd and Pb applied to soil was investigated in pot-cultured passionfruit (P. edulis Sims and P. edulis Sims f. flavicarpa Degener). The results showed that the distribution of Cd and Pb in passionfruit ranked as:branches >leaves >fruits. The Cd contents had no significant difference in different varieties of passionfruit, while the Pb contents had.The contents of Cd and Pb in the branches and leaves of passionfruit increased with the increasing of their treatment concentration. The contents of Cd and Pb in the branches and leaves of passionfruit had great significant positive correlation with their concentration applied to soil. The passionfruit plant had stronger ability to uptake Cd than Pb with the bio-enrichment coefficients of Cd were all more than 1.When Pb added to soil was 1000 mg/kg, the content of Pb in fruit was less than the maximum limit in contamination-free fruits. In planting practice, even in the higher levels of Pb polluted soil, passionfruit fruit could be free of Pb pollution, but more special attention should be paid to Cd pollution risks.

    2010, 39(03): 4-7.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-7791.2010.03.002
    Abstract ( )   PDF (787KB) ( )
The soil respiration rate of two forest types in Dabieshan Mountain in the western of Anhui Province was statistically analyzed. The results showed that the soil respiration rate of two forest types increased first and then decreased in different seasons. There existed great correlation between soil respiration rate and soil temperature at the depth of 5 cm and 10 cm.There was also highly significant correlation between soil respiration rate and soil organic matter content at the depth of 5~10 cm layer in Chinese-fir forest with the correlation coefficient was 0.978 (p<0.01).In bast oak forest, the soil respiration rate was significantly correlated with soil organic matter content in 0~5 cm layer (0.928, p<0.05).

    CAI Zhong-fang, PENG Jian, LI Yong-hong, ZHAO Chang-zeng, CHEN Bai-hong, ZHANG Shao-ai
    2010, 39(03): 8-11.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-7791.2010.03.003
    Abstract ( )   PDF (849KB) ( )
To research correlation of carbohydrate content changing in buds and leaves and longan's flower bud differentiation, five to six-year-old ‘sijihua’ longan's autumn shoots were used as the experimental materials. The morphological differentiation process of the flower bud differentiation was observed, flower bud differentiation rate of every period was calculated, the contents changing of total soluble sugar, sucrose, fructose, reducing sugar and starch of buds and leaves were determined and the correlation between the carbohydrate content of leaves and buds and flower bud differentiation rate during the differentiation process was counted. The results showed that, during the differentiation process of ‘sijihua’ longan's autumn shoots, the flower bud differentiation rate reached the highest at main axle of inflorescence differentiation period. The carbohydrate content of leaves and buds showed significant difference in every differentiation period (P≤0.05). The changing trend of starch content in leaves was reduced markedly, while in contrary for buds, which reflected the relationship of the buds and leaves was sink and source respectively during the flower bud differentiation. The correlation of the changing magnitude of total soluble sugar, sucrose and reducing sugar in buds and the flower bud differentiation process was higher compared with leaves, so the measurements of carbohydrate in buds were able to reflect the real estate of the flower bud differentiation all the more, but the related question was still worth researching deeply.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (751KB) ( )
Interspecific hybridization was carried out with Cymbidium hybridium as female parent and C. sinense as male parent.Embryo rescue technique of hybrids was also studied. The results showed that ovaries culture was better than ovules culture, and ovaries culture had become to be effective means of embryo rescue. The germination and growth had significant difference at different growth stages and different culture medium.Ovaries could be cultured in vitro successfully as early as 60d after pollination. However, the germination rate was the highest when ovaries cultured for 90d after pollination, which reached up to 80%.Of the media studied, VW+BA 0.2 mg/L+NAA 0.2 mg/L+peptone 3 g/L+cascin hydrolyaate 500 mg/L+coconut milk 10% was the optimal medium for ovaries culture.

    2010, 39(03): 15-17.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1009-7791.2010.03.005
    Abstract ( )   PDF (814KB) ( )
The experiments were performed to investigate the effects of exogenous SA on the physiological parameters in Chinese cabbage under NaCl stress.Chinese cabbage seedlings were treated by foliar spray of 0, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 mmol/L SA, and were then subjected to NaCl stress. Results indicated that 0.5 mmol/L SA significantly improved the plant height, plant dry weight, root thickness, leaf area and significantly reduced the leaf malondialdehyde (MDA) content and electrolyte leakage rate, significantly enhanced superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT) and other plant cell protective enzyme activity of leaf.Appropriate concentration of exogenous SA could reduce the stress on the cabbage injuries by increasing plant osmotic adjustment ability, antioxidant capacity and protecting the membrane structure. The best treatment concentration of SA was 0.5 mmol/L.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (4042KB) ( )
The Sanqingshan Mountain locates in the east of Huaiyu Ranges, which is in the northeast of Jiangxi Province. There are various species of vascular plants in Sanqingshan with 1915 species (involving variants, subspecies and forma) belonging to 878 genera of 193 families.Based on the investigation and statistical analyses of distribution types, for families, the pantropical distribution is the most of 34.2%, the cosmopolitan distribution is 31.09% and the north temperate zone is 15.03%.Temperate elements are less than tropical elements with the ratio of 41:90.And for genera, the north temperate zone is 17.88%, the pantropic type is 14.81% and the East Asia type 12.76% at generic level, with the temperate elements are slightly more than the tropical elements (427:341).At species level, the Endemic to China type reaches 48.92%, the East Asia type 30.73%, and the tropical Asia type 6.73%, and the temperate elements are much more than the tropical elements (705:245).The specific areal types indicate that the floristic characteristic of the reserve is obviously subtropical montane nature.According to the regionalization of Chinese flora, the authors propose that the Endemic to China type can be divided into 12 subtypes, of which the subtype of East-, Central- and Southwest-(South-) China takes the biggest proportion. It reflects the relationships among the floristic elements mentioned above.

Anthocyanin exists in the vacuoles of some leaves, flowers, fruits, seed epidermis and seed coat and is a water-soluble pigment that causes these organs showing color from red to black and others. The process of anthocyanin synthesis not only be regulated by gene, but also be affected by many other different factors.First, light regulates related enzyme gene expression directly or indirectly by signal transduction pathway.Second, sugar often coordinated controls pigment in flower altogether with light. Finally, hormone is also an important factor affecting the synthesis of anthocyanin. It often influences the metabolic process and gene expression in plants to affect anthocyanin synthesis and accumulation.Research progress in recent 20 years was also reviewed.
