    Abstract ( )   PDF (256KB) ( )
By comparing the changes of pigment content, specific leaf area and water content of seven-son flower (Heptacodium miconioides) leaves at different altitudes (A1:550~660 m, A2:700~800 m, A3:900~990 m, A4:1 000~1 015 m, A5:1 020~1 100 m) in Dapanshan Mountain, the effects of different altitudes on seven-son flower were studied. The results showed that the contents of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and chlorophyll a+b of seven-son flower leaves increased firstly and then decreased and their peak appeared at A3, but the diversification trend of content chlorophyll a/b and carotenoid of seven-son flower leaves were reverse, decreased firstly and then increased and their bottom appeared at was in A3.Specific leaf area and water content of seven-son flower leaves decreased significantly at high altitudes (A4 and A5).Seven-son flower may be adapted to environmental factors at higher altitudes by the transformation of pigment content, specific leaf area and water content of leaves.

    Abstract ( )   PDF (282KB) ( )
The experiment of fertilizer and afforestation density of young plantation Fokienia hodginsii was carried in 1998.The results showed that Fokienia hodginsii was sensitive to fertilizer and the fertilizer effect sustained for a long time.Phosphate fertilizer should be mainly applied for Fokienia hodginsii and the ideal fertilizer amount is 200 g/tree of calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer and the fertilizer effect would be better in combination with N fertilizer. The fertilizer formulation of urea 100 g, calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer 200 g and potassium chloride 50 g for each tree brought an increase of 44.6% in height growth, 42.3% in diameter, 182.99% in volume of timber, and the index of fertilizer effect reached 2.93 and the economic results reached 64 631 yuan/hm2.The treatment of urea 50g/tree and Ca、Mg and P 200 g/tree gained the economic effects of 57300 yuan/hm2.The results also indicated that the best afforestation density was 2.0 m×1.5 m in spacing to the Fokienia hodginsii young plantation.

ZHOU Kai-bing, LIANG Zhu, HUANG Hai-lin
    2007, 36(01): 27-30,35.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (302KB) ( )
It was conducted with Sanyuehong litchi fruits to study the effects of P, K and Ca applied by foliar nutrients sprayed the concentration 0.2% of solution of KH2PO4(PK), CaCl2(Ca) and the mixture of the both (PK+Ca) on the quality and pigmentation of fruits. The results are as follows.Spraying different liquor could increase the weight of single fruit. The total of soluble sugar (TSS) in flesh of all treatments had the similar changes to each other among all the treatments and CK.The total of soluble sugar in flesh of PK treatment showed significantly higher than that of CK, and those of the other treatments were extremely remarkably lower than that of CK.The total acid (TA) in flesh of all treatments dropped down during early period, then they increased, and then they went downhill again. The TA in flesh of ripened fruits of CK was at the lowest point, and that of the treatment PK was significantly different from that of CK, and those of the other two treatments were extremely different from that of CK.The ratio of TSS/TA of the treatment PK had non-significant difference from CK, and those of the other treatments were remarkably lower than that of CK.To all treatments and CK, the dominant tendencies of the contents of the chlorophyll and carotenoid in carpel were down, and that of the anthocyanidin was up.The curves of the contents of carotenoid of all the treatments and CK were alike. When the fruits were mature, the content of the chlorophyll of CK was higher than those of the treatments or had on significant difference from the exceptional treatments, and that of the anthocyanidin of CK was lower than those of all the treatments. So all the treatments were good for the pigmentation of fruits.

WU Ling, LU Yi-jun, SHI Shu-de, FU Cheng-xin
    2007, 36(01): 31-35.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (349KB) ( )
The inter-species relationship of 13 species in the genus Lycoris was studied based on sequences of the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) of nuclear ribosomal DNA.Total DNAs of Lycoris were extracted from silica-dried leaves of each species. The ITS sequences were amplified by PCR with universal primer of ITS and PCR products were sequenced after purification. The length of ITS1 and ITS2 sequences were 259~260 bp and 230 bp respectively. There were distinct variant sites between the ITS sequences.Phylogenetic analysis showed that Lycoris could be classified into three clades:clade I (M+T) with L.chinesis, L.aurea, L.anhuiensis and L.longituba, clade II (ST) with L.radiata var.punila, L.sprengeri, L.rosea and L.haywardii, and clade III (ST+T+M) with L.straminea, L.albifora, L.caldwellii and two Hydrids. The result was basically consistent with that of chromosomekayotype study. The clade III was presumed from interspecific hybridization between two other clades.

    2007, 36(01): 36-38,42.
    Abstract ( )   PDF (202KB) ( )
Based on the condition controlling in the green house, the effect of drought stress on the characteristics of transpiration water consumption of 4 plants were tested. The results showed that 4 species examined had clearly daily variation in transpiration and stomatal resistance. The transpiration rate drop gradually and stomatal resistance increased under the condition of drought stress. When water potential dropped to some critical level, stomatal increased sharply and the transpiration rate decreased to lowest level as stomatal close.Neyraudia reynaudiana was of high drought tolerance with high water use efficiency under different water supply, while Miscanthus floridulus is of low, and the drought resistance ability of Paspalum notatum and Vetiveria zizanioides were ranked between the two species.
