Comparison of some physiological determinations with different volume and density of rockwool in the culture of muskmelon seedlings

不同规格岩棉培育厚皮甜瓜苗的若干生理指标比较

Abstract: Using different volume and density of rockwool as substrates to compare with the traditional substrate (CK), the test of cultivating muskmelon seedlings was conducted with randomized blocks design. The physiological determinations, including the activity of roots, the activity of nitrate reductase in leaf, the contents of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, chlorophyll a+b and carotenoid in leaf, were determinated during the rapid growth of seedlings. The results showed that the optimum volume and density of rockwool for seedlings culture were 7.5cm×8cm×7cm and 80kg/m3, respectively.

摘要: 采用几种不同规格的岩棉(密度:80kg/m3,60 kg/m3,40 kg/m3;体积:10cm×10cm×7cm,7.5cm×8cm×7cm,7.5cm×8cm×5cm,5cm×6cm×5cm)为育苗基质,以珍珠岩与泥炭土(1:1)的混合基质为对照,进行厚皮甜瓜育苗比较试验。在苗速生期测其若干生理指标(根系活力、叶片硝酸还原酶活性、叶片叶绿素及类胡萝卜素含量等)。结果表明,密度为80 kg/m3、体积为7.5cm×8cm×7cm的岩棉是育苗的良好基质。
